Helaas, die techniek is (nog) niet op mensen toepasbaar. Wel op waterslangen. Net als kikkers die hun kwaakconcert pas inzetten wanneer ze zich veilig wanen, wachten ze geduldig tot ze geen geluid meer horen en dan vermenigvuldigen ze zich razendsnel. Als onderwaterglimwormen slingeren ze over de bodem, lichtje voor lichtje, totdat iemand aan de kant schreeuwt of klapt.
